On Friday night, the months of labor, love, and laughs came to fruition at Paradise Ross, the 21st annual Ross School of Business Follies. As the title suggests, this year's Follies made light of the current condition of the "improvements" at our school, in addition to other business school phenomena that have occurred since time immemorial.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. --- The newly renamed Joel D. Tauber Institute for Global Operations at the University of Michigan continues its mission to train outstanding operations and manufacturing professionals. Formerly known as the Tauber Manufacturing Institute, the Tauber Institute for Global Operations is a partnership between industry and the U-M's Ross School of Business and College of Engineering.
During this year's Ross Leadership Program, a commitment to community service was highlighted as one of Ross's core values. Elected as the Global Citizenship Representatives for Section 3, Daniel Garcia, Sonal Singla, and Fiaz Mohammed lead their section in organizing community service activities for local youth.
Neither rain, sleet, or ferocious winds could prevent six Ross MBAs and two BBAs from venturing to Indianapolis to spend a Day in the Life of an Eli Lilly professional. On November 30th-December 1, eight students, had the opportunity to shadow Ross alumni at Lilly's headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Several summers ago I was at the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management's annual Orientation Program prior to starting my first year at Michigan. I found myself surrounded by incoming MBA students interested in pursuing more traditional career paths.
