The Alfred L. Edwards 32nd Annual BBSA Conference and Alumni Weekend was an event to be remembered by the Ross community. The theme of this year's conference was Advancing Diversity in Times of Adversity, and the conference addressed new challenges in diversity sparked by the passage of Proposal 2 (which outlawed affirmative action in Michigan).
The Michigan Journal of Business, brainchild of BBA Senior William Moon and BBA Program Director Scott Moore, published its first edition the week of January 21st. The Michigan Journal of Business is the nation's first academic journal launched by a top-ranked business school.
This Thursday, January 31, Ajay Sharma of the William Davidson Institute (WDI) will be delivering a talk from 5:00-6:00PM at the business school in E0540. This lecture promises to be a very informative and engaging presentation. Sharma has nine years of experience in global IT delivery; since graduating from Ross, he has worked with WDI helping companies address the globalization of business services.
The longest running, student-organized conference on Asia hits the Stephen M. Ross School of Business this Friday and Saturday, February 1-2, 2008. Last year over 400 students, faculty, and community members attended the Asia Business Conference. This conference is a two-day program featuring prominent business executives, high-ranking government officials, and high-profile academics from Asia and the United States discussing the current state of affairs in Asia.
