With dedicated leadership and an impressive influx of first-year members, Ross Out For Business (Ross OFB), the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) student association is shaking things up to increase diversity and inclusiveness at Ross. "Starting with only a handful of active members last year, Ross OFB has tripled its membership this year, was strongly represented at the annual Reaching Out MBA Conference and has several major events on the horizon to raise awareness in the Ross community," said MBA2 Dante Mastri, co-President of Ross OFB.

In mid-August 2009, 26 University of Michigan Ross School of Business MBA students traveled from the U.S. to Bulgaria to participate in a week-long negotiations course taught by Professor George Siedel. The course was offered through the Bulgarian Fulbright International Summer Institute (FISI), and included Ross students as well as students from Bulgaria, Pakistan, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Belarus, and Italy.

U.S. Jobs Bill proves to be costly, President Obama optimistic President Obama and his administration have been working hard to devise a bill centered on intentions of an economic stimulus, ending the year just as he began it. The bill would include provisions that relate to tax cuts and spending, with an emphasis on the promotion of job creation.
