November has been the month of silhouettes for Section One. The title comes from the dynamic performance of "Two Silhouettes" by the Section One trio of Dan McMaster, Jon Horn and Greg Hansen. In the middle of Business Economics two out of the three of their cell phones went off. Even with the technical difficulties and Masten suggesting they sing the Economic Blues, the do-woppers delivered a great show. So great, in fact, that Priester made them repeat it in Marketing. It is important to note, however, that as great as the singing was, it wasn't enough to wake Mike Hokenson from his economical nap. The trio has been in great demand to sing in the student lobby, at happy hour on Thursday and at a fellow classmate's upcoming wedding, but alas, the school will have to wait until they perform at graduation.

Silhouettes of men were the only things present at the latest Section One social event. The ladies decided to have a Girls Night Out on Saturday, November 9. The evening started at the infamous Guild House where wine was flowing like estrogen and a crazy mad game of Guesstures ensued. After a few out of control rounds and Beth Paul's perfect imitation of a key, the women, decked in hoochie gear, decided to hit Yost Arena. The hockey game was thumpin', the crowd was bumpin', we were drinking somethin' and Duke was chumpin', so where else could we go from there but Scorekeepers? We were greeted with Def Leppard music and 75 cent beers. Kim Schubeck was moved to dance by DJ Sammy's Heaven, or maybe it was the cute Cornell hockey player she was dancing with. Ruchi Misra showed us how to pick up a guy by asking for a napkin. But most girls, moved on to bigger and better things, Studio 4. Thus concluding the first installment of Girls Night Out.

Quick Updates: Scott "God's gift to women" Macke can be found on weekday nights picking up freshman at our local Starbucks. Jim "I" Beltis "city on Rock n' Roll" has bombarded the social scene lately – love to see it! Ami (chai tea) Treves, not understanding how the "day" in birthday works, actually celebrated his birthday for a week, while Mike "Frank"zini took quarters to a whole new level by using shots of Jager instead of beer. Keep up the good work Section One.
