Kudos to the Formal Committee

After reading last week's MSJ, particularly Spytek's column, I was shocked that the paper undoubtedly believed the Ross Formal was a bust. In my opinion this was an extremely classy and fun event put together by a dedicated and hard-working committee. Their efforts to organize such an event should not go unnoticed.
Thank you all on the committee. Compared to the regular Ann Arbor hangouts, it was a wonderful chance to mingle, chat, and dance in a very nice and adult-like setting. And compared to what we normally get in Ann Abor -- a DJ - (albeit Live at PJ's) a live band is fun no matter if you think they are cheesy.
Spytek's suggestion that the lack of "action" made this event lame is rather odd. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want to attend a black tie event where everyone is sucking face and making out the in corners. Sounds like Spytek is in a major slump and in need of a little sumpin sumpin. Maybe next year the complainers should head to Rick's instead, or plan the event yourself.
Respectfully,
Tripp Frey, MBA2
