Section officers' elections to be held this week for MBA1s

Brief descriptions of the positions available for each section are as follows:

Section Leader (1)
Point person for the section activities. Responsibilities include acting as the catalyst for student ideas, managing student section positions, conducting section meetings, and championing continuous improvement activities throughout the school. The position also requires attendance at MBA Council meetings, SGA meetings, and relaying student government news back to the sections.

Treasurer (1)
Responsible for the allocation, accounting, and disbursement of all section funds.

UMBSA Representatives (3)
Elected to work with UMBSA on all events and act as the point persons on associated events. Will work closely with SGA Social Committee.

Social Rep (1-3)
Arranges social events for the section, from movies to bowling to barbecues. Additionally, this person works with the SGA's Social Committee to help provide input and plan Ross-wide social activities and events. Two or more people may share this position.

International Reps (2)
Responsible for assisting with International orientation, school branding, and initiatives outside the U.S., and admissions international recruitment through the SGA's International Committee.

IM Sports (3)
Responsible for organizing section teams at appropriate times for intramural sports and for entering teams in intramural competition through the IM sports office. Two or more people may share this position.

Leadership Development (2)
Works on leadership and professional development activities and programming through the SGA's Leadership Development Committee.

Academic Committee (2)
Member of the SGA's Academic Committee. Discussion topics include case competitions, joint degree programs, academic integrity, MAP, and other academic issues.

Career Development (2)
Helps the Office of Career Development better understand the needs of your class and deliver programming and communications to address them through the SGA's Career Development Committee.

Alumni Development (2)
Member of the SGA's Academic Committee. Discussion topics include case competitions, joint degree programs, academic integrity, MAP, and other academic issues.

Global Citizenship (2-3)
Responsible for organizing volunteer activities for their section. Your representative will also be an active member of the SGA's Citizenship Committee and will help plan school-wide charity events.

Culture and Diversity (2-3)
Works on cultural and community building activities through the SGA's Culture and Diversity Initiatives Committee. Activities include Cultural Celebrations, Speaker Series, and International Week.

Community Value and Ethics (2-3)
Liaison with the ethics and value committee, which is charged with maintaining the integrity of the school. Will work to maintain section's values and help address ethical issues in the section

Photographer / Section Historian (2-3)
Responsible for taking pictures at all section events and posting them online. Two or more people may share this position.

Webmaster (1-2)
Responsible for developing and maintaining the section website. The goal of the position is to use information technology to develop a website that is informative and helpful to you section.
