"Discover Ross" Prospective Student Weekend: 10/30-11/01

From October 30th through November 1st, The Ross School of Business will host "Discover Ross 2008", a recruitment event offering prospective full-time MBA students the opportunity to "discover Ross" from the female perspective. While Ross traditionally hosts recruitment events such as "UpClose" to attract students interested in improving the representation of minorities in business school, "Discover Ross" is the first event of its kind for students interested in improving the representation of women in business school. This event is open to applicants of either gender who are committed to the advancement of women in management.
During "Discover Ross", over 60 prospective student participants will attend a variety of panels, workshops and social events to learn about the paths taken by Ross women before, during and after their MBA. The alumna keynote speaker for the event is Kristin Kroepfl, a Director of Marketing at PepsiCo. Additionally, an alumnae panel will feature three Ross alumnae including Amanda Soskin- a Senior Financial Analyst at Chevron, Brittany Sever- a Manager at Level 3 Communications, and Bridget Kaiser Stallkamp- a Senior Account Manager at Root Learning. Participants will also have a student buddy to provide them with the inside perspective from a current student.
Organized by the Office of Admissions and a student committee led by Ginny Lee and Sara Klainer, "Discover Ross 2008" is intended to be an annual event. According to Ginny and Sara, "We are thrilled to have this opportunity to provide a more intimate window into the programs, collaborative culture and community that make Ross such a special place to be."
