In the year nineteen hundred and eighty-six, Ross Follies was born. You may have heard Follies, no? Maybe you've seen random bowler hats around the school or caught an impromptu Globetrotters-esque display of athleticism in the cafeteria. The Follies board has been working to create and promote this year's show since March 2008. It started with assembling a top-notch board to manage the organization of the show. Next, the board held an open call for writers to attend grueling weekly meetings at Scorekeepers. After the writing team was in place, the board reached out to the rest of the MBA student population to recruit the cast. The turnout was phenomenal, and this year over 150 Ross MBA students are involved in acting, writing, directing and/or producing the show. In addition, a record number of MBA 1s (nearly 50% of the entire cast) are participating in this year's performance. All that was left after assembling a crack team of writers and performers was to let the rest of RSB know what was in store for them. The Winter A term brought about the highly anticipated title reveal. For one week, the Follies board leaked daily hints prompting some brilliant students to guess this year's title, "A Rosswork Orange," a tribute to our new building.

The goal of the show? Poke fun at anything and everything that is business school through a mixture of live and video sketches. This year there are 60% more skits than last year--I had to hide out in the ceiling ducts just to get a sneak peek. All I can tell you is that the skits are hysterical. The rest of the details of the show are under QSL-Quadruple-Secret-Lockdown. You'll have to attend the show to find out!

Is the person sitting next to you going to bust out a sick break-dancing number during one of the skits? Possibly. Is your section-mate, who has never said a word in class, going to perform a mean impersonation of William Shatner? Maybe they do and maybe they WILL… and of course, maybe they won't. You'll only know for sure when you see Ross Follies' "A Rosswork Orange" at the Michigan Theater this weekend..
